Even after risking his life for their safety, helping stop the war, and spending all his free time helping re-build, many citizens of Japan still hate Izuku Midoriya. Some even still believe he’s a nomu, despite him and All Might sending a public announcement about OFA. After a particularly long day of mean comments and judging stares, he is dead tired. So, when a small group of villains try to capture him, Izuku uses it to his advantage. He lets himself get captured, then escapes and fakes his death by burning the place down. It’s all over the news: “UA student Izuku Midoriya missing after being captured by villains. There one known base was found in flames. More information on our website [----------------].com”, “Izuku Midoriya possibly dead after being kidnapped by villains. Pros have launched a search party immediately.”, and so on. Everyone in Class A immediately offered to help, but the pros declined. A few days before the start of second year, when Class 2-A had already moved back into their dorms, Aizawa came down to the dorms for an announcement. “Since it has already been over one and a half months since his disappearance and we have found no evidence that he is alive,” he started, taking a deep breath before finishing his sentence. “The commission has decided to declare Izuku dead, and drop the case.”. Immediately, shouts broke out amongst his classmates, trying to find reasons that couldn’t be true. “There’s no way that fire killed him!” Ochako shouted. “Yeah! De-Izuku’s been through way worse!” Bakugou added. “I don’t want to believe it, either.” Aizawa said after the rest of their classmates kept shouting in agreement. “I don’t believe it.” he added when some of the students stared at him angrily. “But the commission has shut down any search requests, and declared him dead. All we can do now is hope someone finds him while patrolling or on a mission.” Aizawa said. “You can’t really expect us to just drop this!” Tsu shouts. “That’s so not manly, Sensei.” Kirishima said. Aizawa gave him a quick glare before continuing. “Which is why we will have optional patrol shifts for the students of UA. The commission will think we’re just giving you practice to be better heroes, and you will be allowed to search for problem child with a few pros.” he said. “Oh! Sorry, Sensei. That’s totally manly!” Kirishima replied. “Where can we sign up?” Iida asked him. Aizawa spent the next hour explaining the patrol system, and the assembly Class A was going to lead so that they could tell the school about it. They were still upset with the commission’s decision, but at least they had this little hope to keep with them.
Sorry this chapter was a bit short, but I wasn't sure what else to add. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and all the ones I'm going to write!
